How we rate

Every recommendation starts with the numbers that actually matter for your tank: skimmer rating vs. real bioload, pump flow vs. head loss, PAR vs. depth. Where we can measure or test, we do. Where we rely on manufacturer specs or owner-reported data, we say so. We update rankings as gear and prices change.
